We first moved to Gilbert, AZ over 23 years ago. Amazingly enough, we still live in the same home that we bought when we first moved to Arizona. We found that Gilbert was a great place to raise a family.
People are friendly and the Gilbert schools were great for our children. As a mom, I was able to volunteer as often as I wanted to help out at the elementary school. That was important for me to see, first hand, the type of education my children were receiving.
Apparently news spread quickly that Gilbert was a great town to live in. When we moved to Gilbert, there were about 17,000 people in Gilbert. Now there are over 200,000 Gilbert residents. Gilbert was the fastest growing town in America for several years straight. It is great how Gilbert has maintained the “small town feeling” while growing rapidly. Gilbert is still a town, not a city.
Almost everything in Gilbert is relatively new- the homes, the businesses, the parks… everything!
Gilbert is a very family friendly town. They offer many activities to the residents where families can get to know each other. There are many free parks. Some of the communities are lake communities and are absolutely gorgeous! There are also golf communities for the golfers. Some communities are lined with white picket fences. It seems that there is something for everyone.
